A redesign of a mobile retail sales app that communicates complex information in a simple, elegant way. Make finding online sales as enjoyable as window shopping.

the problem

The consumer shopping market is flooded with daily deals platforms. Hipiti has a unique product that uses historical data of retailer sales to identify the frequency and relative merits of sales – but their product wasn’t communicating this value.

the approach

We wanted to remove clutter and uncertainty from the platform, and provide signposts so that users could easily understand a sale’s relative merits.

the solution

A visual “sash” campaign that categorizes sales by the length of a ribbon. To aid users in learning the new visual language of the app, I developed product copy that was tonally accurate to Hipiti’s brand as well as email marketing communications.
